I'm thrilled to, for the sixth time, host you for a day filled with yoga, free movement, immersion, relaxation á​nd fresh healthy food on a spot next to the nature reserve of the Dijle valley, away from all bustle.

A misconception sometimes is that yoga is only about unicorns and rainbows, but when you read about the history of yoga it speaks about war, death, epidemics... In fact yoga was developed to learn how to cope with the inevitable challenges of life. The ability to adapt and realign to difficult situations is what we call resilience. Isn't it comforting that this isn't just a contemporary issue but something people have been seeking for already 2000 years ago? Yoga doens't promise you a life without anger, grief or pain, but what you can learn how is to bounce back after setback. Together we will investigate tools that support you in your resilience.

My goal is always to use elements of yoga, free movement, meditation, journaling and a hint of philosophy to explore these ideas in our bodies, so you integrate the material into your whole being and it really becomes part of who you are.

Who is this retreat for:​

  • for wandering souls & curious movers

  • if you're open to enrich your yoga practice with different elements like meditation, journaling, free movement and yoga philosophy

  • if you see your practice as an avenue of exploration and self-discovery

  • for anyone who loves dynamic movement (we might break a sweat!) but also silence and tranquility

Schedule (exempt of changes):

  • 10.00 - 10.45h: opening circle, journaling & meditation

  • 10.45 - 12.15h: masterclass – vinyasa, free movement exploration

  • 12.15 - 13.45h: lunch & break

  • 13.45 - 15.00h: philosophy, lab & sharing

  • 15.00 - 15.30h: short break

  • 15.30 - 17.00h: integration time - yin based relaxation & closing

Practical:

  • Sunday November 20th 10.00h - 17.00h

  • includes vegetarian lunch straight from the farm's fields (soup, quiche, wraps, veggies, ...)

  • includes water, tea, coffee whole day

  • price: 130€*


Location:
De Baarbeekhoeve is a historic farm from 1800 on the border of the nature reserve of the Dijle valley, near Mechelen. The farm has been converted and renovated with respect for the old character and with use of natural and ecological materials. The fertile grounds surrounding the farm are used to grow vegetables and fruit, that are sold, straight from the field, in the farm shop. The old barn got transformed into a space for workshops, courses and meetings.

 

*Cancellation policy:

Your reservation is only confirmed upon receipt of the full payment.
Refunds are only possible up to 1 week before the class/course starts and minus administration costs. If you cancel later then 1 week before the start of the class/course:

  • either the full amount will be charged

  • or you can find someone else to take your place

When cancellation happens from the part of the organiser, a full refund will be provided.

The wonders of yoga....
After this mini retreat I feel back in balance.

The different parts smoothly flow into each other and complement one another. Like this the whole becomes a profound yoga experience.

The afternoon was balanced and the different elements were all valuable. The free movement was new to me. I found it positively stimulating.


I find your way of teaching very pleasant, the attention for the adjustments and limits of everyone's body is important.

The deepening of a theme before the class had a positive effect on the experience.

Also the next day I felt pleasant, relaxed and energetic.

I absolutely got what I hoped for. I returned home with a feeling of surrender to the flow, harmony and movement, of which Lies' classes are always and wonderful example.

 

The surroundings are an absolute recommendation, a magnificent farm in a wonderful piece of nature.

 

I defenitely feel like returning and being part again of a mini retreat, because that is really how it felt.
